Bronson Arroyo - MLB Betting Odds: Cincinnati Reds at Los Angeles Dodgers

Bronson Arroyo has not been a very effective pitcher this season for the Cincinnati Reds, but he might find a cure for his struggles against the MLB betting odds in his opponent on Monday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Righthander Arroyo (4-6, 5.28 ERA) was tagged with a loss by the Cubs in his most recent start, surrendering four runs (three earned) on eight hits over 6 1-3 innings of work. Cincinnati has managed to lose six of Arroyo's last eight starts.

However, one of Arroyo's recent wins came against the Dodgers on June 3 when he held them to just one run on five hits in his six innings pitched. Cincinnati won that game 2-1 at home, but they lost the two subsequent games in that series by scores of 11-8 and 9-6.

Hiroki Kuroda (5-7, 3.35 ERA) is expected to take the mound for the Dodgers on Monday, and he lost that June 3 contest against the Reds despite giving up just two runs on six hits over six innings pitched.

Righthander Kuroda has been tagged with a loss in each of his past four starts. Against  the Phillies last time out Kuroda gave up one run on four hits over his 5 1-3 innings.

Floundering below .500, the Dodgers are well down the Bodog Sportsbook futures lists right now at 80/1 odds to win the World Series and 40/1 to win the NL Pennant this season. The Reds, sitting in third place in the NL Central behind the Cardinals and Brewers, are farther up the list at 25/1 odds to win the World Series and 12/1 to claim the NL Pennant.

The Reds and Dodgers play three games in Los Angeles before parting ways; Cincinnati next heads home for an interleague series against the Blue Jays, while the Dodgers will next get a visit from the Astros.
